I don't really like the headband portion.  Reminds me of some of the lower-end Sony models, and the plastic is prone to breakage.  The rest looks okay but am not thrilled with the triangular earpads.

I think the looks are unique, but somehow in my mind I see a near-TOTL or TOTL headphone as being less glitzy. This thing looks like a gaming headset to me, nothing more. I understand that the design is very complex and very well-produced, but I just think that my higher-end gear should be a bit more dignified-looking.
 
Saying that, it's the sound that makes it or breaks it.

In general, what has the pricing trend been on the HD 600 and HD 650 since the HD 800 came out?

One of my friends who works for Sennheiser Asia has confirmed that HD700 will be announced early Jan. 2012, along with some other new models as well. He politely refused to go into further detail so I have no idea what "other models" are.
