Talk about the wrong post at the wrong time... people are sharing their stories of loss and you follow up with this? I'm sure you meant it as a way to lighten up the thread but I dunno.

Earl, I'm sorry to hear that you will begin the new year with the loss of your cat.

I didn't read all of this thread. When I last read it (when it just began), it was a happy (I just got a new pal) thread. Sorry for the bad timing.

Vicky, what gave your neighbor the idea to call him Henry (sounds like a fine cat name)?

When she walked in my house, she just looked at him at said, "Hi, Henry." He kinda looks like a Henry, not that either one of us thought about it one minute before. She said she didn't know why it came to her.

Earl, I'm sorry about Charlie.

Thinking..., I kinda like Tarbell (first impressions and all).

It worked for Ida's family.

Congrats to you, Vicki; and Earl, my sympathy as well.

You never forget, even though life goes on. Sota (Rambo Bose Kitty) has been gone over 6 months now, and we have had Tab and Gryphon in the house for about 3 months. New life, old memories.....

All the best to both of you, in joy and sadness.

I think we have a winner! Thrice suggested Mr. Shasbotski to me. Adding in the previous two suggestions, we have Mr. Tarbell Shasbotski, Tarbie for short.

"What's your cat's name?"

"Mr. Tarbell Shasbotski."

It doesn't get much better than that

To the animals in your house, they lost a friend, to a human like me that don't know Charlie, I am sorry to hear that. RIP Charlie.
