I picked up the stand tonight and did a bit of modding, Grado style, to my new stand.... I just knew that Grado pizza box foam would come in handy one day, and that day was today. I went crazy with a bread knife and carved some foam up to fit the metal clip and make a nice comfy rest for my JMoney headband. See the results below.

Excellent idea.  Nice cost effective solution for a nice cost effective headphone stand.

I've since picked up a second hook for my ATH-M50s, which are resting on top of an old SR60 headband that I'm no longer using.

I kind of liked the groove but the problem is that the JMoney headband for my Grados was too wide to fit comfortably in it, I had to wedge it in and I didn't like doing that. The groove is gone now but the foam is great because it serves two purposes; a nice and comfy resting place for the headphone and also an "anti-slip" rest with the leather head-band, I don't really need the groove anymore.

I love the functionality of this hose rack and its appeal as a headphone stand.  I was looking around the internet for affordable headphone stands and found the idea on this forum.  Personally the idea of a $50 glorified headphone stand didn't really appeal to me.  I liked the idea I found on headfi so much I decided to post my own mod of it.  I, like another user, fastened a piece of foam between the rack and the headphone so that it wouldn't damage the strap area.  It looks great and am glad to be apart of this community.  If you are wondering just go into Lowes or Office Depot and show them a picture of a stand and they will direct you where to go.  That is what I did and the nice man showed me straight to the section where they were!  Anyway I posted some larger pics here if you wanted to take a look at how they came out.

For those not near a home depot, Amazon has them as well, but for $15. Free shipping if you have prime, otherwise shipping would kill it.

Awesome, thank you! According to Home Depot's site this wasn't in stock at my local store, so this worked out great since I have Prime.

Okay, So I was inspired to take up an hour of my time making some cheap headphone stand that turned out pretty cool but at the same time too tall for my headphones.
To make this, you will need one 8 oz V8 can, 3 party cups?, and 2 party plates? Also you will need some sort of glue and knife to carve the top. (I really don't know why im saying all this because no one will even dare to make something so cheap)

Anyways Enjoy:
