Isn't this wall-mounted? Is there a standing version of this? Just like in page 1? Nah, jokes. It would be a dream to have what the Americans have in Australia.

The one he linked is exactly the same as the one on page 1, cost $20 from Bunnings and work great.

Yes it is wall mount, but it can stand on the two bars quite well.  Then you essentially uses the bit that you attach to the wall to hook the headphones.

So I thought this was a great idea and bought the hose hook from Lowe's. Anybody have ideas for getting foam-type material to make an insert for the top to prevent headband indentation? I've got M50's and am currently using a sock draped over the silver hook to keep them safe.

 
Unfortunately I just don't have any shipping foam laying around...maybe a craft store would have similar material?

Check back a page or two. Copper pipe foam works gloriously. I also found that you can even double it up for added support.

Sock cover work great, especially when you wrap socks within socks to provide extra cushion.

My terrible mod of the stand. Adds about 2 inches and won't crease. Good enough for me!
 
I posted this a few pages back I think, but it's a 3 or 4-in diameter piece of pvc piping wrapped in a towel. Cost about $10 for the rest + $15 for the stand, so $25. Cheaper if you use your own spares.
