How does the sd3 compare to the f111. All I know is the latter has less bass. What else is different?

Got this spinfit from local shop tried ortofon jvc spiral dot but both created horrible sound.

Sorry my post was refering to the spinfit tips jrwong28 was talking about ... i actually have the sd-2 now a few months and in fact am getting a 
pair of sd-4 for review next week.

Mim.... SD4 is more like SD2 than SD3. Besides SD4 can never best sd3's quality of bass. SD4's bass sounds somewhat uncontrolled and as if it was too much for the bass drivers to handle. As if at any moment, I could have blown those drivers.

I found the SD3 fun and smooth but the bass, as nice as it is, really bled into the mids. I was hoping for more control of the sd4...

what's your setting?
 
mine is:
-3dB at 125Hz
-3dB at 250Hz
+2dB at 8kHz
+4dB at 16kHz
 
Imho it sounds better than the default setting.

Nerstroit, seems like U want more clarity from your SD3, did U check SD2 before the purchase of SD3?
