Two months later and the HeadFive is definitely a keeper: my budget solid state reference. Thanks again, Dr. Meier, for conceiving, developing and getting this design to market . . . in a great looking package, and at a fabulous price. The HeadFive, together with the UE Super.fi 5 Pro's, provide me with some of the most satisfying head-fi listening I've ever experienced. (Maybe it's a "5" thing: Head*****5*****, UE Super.fi*****5*****Pro, who knows?)

Well, just scanned through the entire message list for the Headfi amp and am eagerly waiting my amps arrival here in Virginia. Now that the number sold is getting closer to 500, wonder if sales will pick up as people finally commit to buy before it becomes a used only item.

Heh, I am with you on that one. I want to feel like one of the few who have a limited production item. That feeling just doesn't come when they are still readily available.

I do wonder, by this time next year, you think the resell value will be greater than what we are paying now?

Grado RS2? No way, the prices for Grado headphones in Europe are just ridiculous. Unless you can get a used pair for a reasonable price, I'd recommend getting some other headphones.

Yea there is no way that I would buy them in sweden. The only store I know of that sells them. Wants 6750sek (around $900) for them. It's better used from the fs/ft forum maybe.

In Europe, Alessandro MS2i's would be good for $300USD and come pretty close to RS2s and work great with the Headfive. Beyerdynamics also sound great with the Headfive, DT880 or D990. Maybe even DT770s if you enjoy lots of bass.
