Today, after much ado, I got my CPU back (a brand new Althon64 3500+ Venice).
With a dab of Artic Silver 5, I installed the CPU into my new mobo (old one must have been defective), et voila, it WORKS!!
The board posted, I've got video, and the world is a great place now
All I need to do is plug in the Raptor, install windows, and I'm set.
Yay for no-hassle RMAs!
