NEW! Bose QC25 2014

I'm hearing the bass on these is somewhat mediocre for someone who enjoys a nice thump

If you're looking for basshead headphones, these are not them...but it is still moar bass than "neutral".

How loud are these phones? At the best buy demotable I had to pump the volume almost up to full on my iPhone to get an enjoyable level. Do they improve in volume after burn in?

Burn in won't increase the volume, it'll just settle out any irregularities in the sound signature.

I prefer it when I have to be close to maxing out the volume though - then I can adjust volume more accurately. If the headphones play at a good level at only 50% volume, then each step in the volume control is twice as big.

Hm. I see. However, after going in to test the headphones few times each time I check out the headphones they seem a bit louder.

I'm honestly confused here. Might have to checkout the QC 15 if they are a louder set of headphones

They are about the same. How loud are you listening to them? Mine get VERY loud from even my wife's tiny iPod Nano?

In listening to them at around eighty percent. At 100 it's bearable but not comfortable

How many dB is that? I can get them bloody loud at 80% of my iPhone. Are they turned on?

Hmmm I might have to check if they were :p lol. They sound good nonetheless and would be a great phone to hVe since I use a public bus every day to get too and from college. My only gripe is if I have to crank up the volume a bit more, but only buying them and testing will tell.

Hi candurin,

The plug looks too big to plug into the 2.5mm port on the headset side.

The plug holder is only slightly bigger than the plug itself, something like 2.9 to 3.0mm diameter.

hi guys,

Did a review on them: http://www.head-fi.org/t/742240/bose-qc25-review-long-flight-experience-included

if you commute and travel a lot, they are definitely worth the premium as opposed to other active NC headphones.
