New Beyerdynamic T1 (2nd Generation)

Beyerdynamic is not a very popular brand, however it got great support with it competetive price... if you are a beginner, I will suggest you to take the Beyerdynamic T51i instead of the T1...

The T51 is not in the same ballpark as other Beyerdynamics, SQ is good for an on ear yet it is different from other Beyers. To try a less expensive Breyer I would go with a DT 1990 /1770 or a DT 990 / 880 / 770 with 250 ohms or higher.

I would say T1.2 is the best headphone I have ever heard...  but on tube amp. I tried it on several other SS amplifiers and the difference was huge. So I would say, it deserves a 10/10 but if you buy it, spend also at least 300EUR to buy a Little Dot MK3. The difference will be huge.

What all headphones have you heard?

Audeze LCD2's, Grado 325is, AKG 702, Audio Technica MSR7, ATH M50, Beyer T90, Beyer DT1350, and a few others....most all are eclipsed by the overall sound from the T1's 2nd Gen.

On amps even though I like my Bottlehead 2 with Crack with the T1's, my AGDR ODA is the best amp I have heard with the T1's...a very good difference and a clear winner overall with these headphones.

Hi guys. Did anyone tried T1 with Fostex HP-A4BL via balanced? Does it have enough power to drive T1?

I'm using this amp with the T.1 2nd gen single ended and it is powerful enough so no doubt balanced would be fine. I run LCD-X and HD650 balanced

I have a Beyer T5p 2nd gen. How different does the T1 2nd gen. sound? I really like the T5p. It's one of the best closed cans I've heard.

They're more similar than different - The T5ps are semi-open while the T1s are semi-closed. The T1's just sound like a more open version of the T5p. Don't listen to anyone telling you that the T1s are difficult to drive because they're not.
