yea but the Liquid Carbon is just an Amp right? Not DAC / Amp?

Even I'm in the same boat.

Budget is about a grand or 1200$ max and am looking for a DAC and AMP for the T1.2

Was looking to get the audio-gd NFB-28 but not so sure on it.

iFi Audio micro iDAC2 + micro iCAN

You could get the iCAN SE but it isn't really necessary.

For your budget and if you are using USB, you should get the iFi Audio iPurifier2 (whichever DAC you buy).

Anyone knows a good Desktop Amp for T1 2nd that is under $1k?

well the best amp i can think of is the Beyerdynamic A20, works excellent with the T1.2. I own this combination. The 100 ohm output handles the 600Ohm T1 extremely well and the volume dial is in the sweet spot onthe A20 with the T1.

I own the iDAC 2 + iPurifier 2 and I also have the iCAN SE on review loan from ifi, so will post some impressions with the T1.2 on that... but later, now its time for bed....

PS: I have also ordered the Cavalli Liquid Carbon, but still 4-5 months until i get it... so cant say what the T1.2 sounds like with it until later in the year

Guys.. Need your advice.

If I can get a used T1 gen1 for USD 540 OR a new T1 gen2 for USD 960, which one should I get??
FYI my amp is a bottlehead crack w/o speedball and I cant stand piercing trebles. I dont mind clarity (which is Beyer's strong suit) but I cannot stand harsh trebles

What's the DAC?

That's mainly where any harshness will come in.
