New BA IEMs from Brainwavz?

Just curious for my own info, how do you find the comply tips we included in terms of the affect on the sound?

I found the comply tips made the B100 warmer sounding reducing the treble a bit but did not change the bass impact. They made an excellent isolating IEM even more isolating though, very impressive.

I'll have to find them a try tonight!

OK, did a quick couple AB comparisons between the B100 and the Klipsch X7 and wow are they close sound wise! This is pretty impressive when you consider the B100 has less than half the MSRP of the X7.

I used the songs Rest by Beckah Shae and an orchestral version of Wish You Were Here by the London Orion Orchestra. Rest showed the B100 to be able to go a bit deeper and harder than the X7 while Wish you were here showed that the X7 had a slightly stronger upper midrange that gave the guitar a bit more bite.

Comfort wise I think the B100 wins as does isolation.

Still stand by my earlier posting with comply foam though the supplied medium comply foam don't fit my ears but instead used..see below

If any you have comply foam T-130 made for Phonak Audeo ..pls try them on!( Size Large)

Have the B100 and with them....its simply awesome ...timbre of bass is sublime and really bring out the texture....detail and clarity also seem more focused imho.

I'll have a check with Comply, but i have a suspicion they may have been specially made for and only for Phonak as i haven't seen the T130 model referenced in any of the material we have got from them.

Iirc...yup bought from Phonak website for me Phonak 112...but the size is just so right with B100/150 ...me choice of weaponised tips for the B series..lol

Left: Phonak T130 Right : B100 comply foam

Left: B100 Right : Phonak Audeo 112

Both of the size stem for the comply foam look similar but the nozzle on B100 is slightly longer ..

Received the B100 today. I like them a lot too. Same shell as B150 but B150 is a bit transparent in color.

Soundwise, without burnin for the B100, the B100 are thinner and lack the body I feel the B150 has. They are very close otherwise in sound to my ears. Bass has more punch with the B150.

Comfort is absolutely brilliant for me. Incredibly nice to wear them. I do prefer the cable on the B100 esthetically. I don't like the rubbery feel of the cable of the B150.

I'll burnin the B100 for 50 hours to give them the same treatment as the B150 before saying more.

Oh stop with all this talk about how B150 has the fuller sound. You guys are making me jealous

If it makes you feel any better I think the B100 is the more musical and enjoyable of the two

Does not compute. Does not compute. LOLZ!

I typically find a fuller sound to be more musical. Given the descriptions I've read of B150, it leads me to believe they'd be the more musical of the two. What makes them less musical / enjoyable for you?

Unless the "fuller" sound isn't as musical cause it isn't as quick and spry and not as good PRaT-wise. Fuller can mean less energy to some and slower due to note thickness. The term musical many times depends on that users definition.

Yup, that's why I asked for more details on why he said B100 was more musical vs. B150.

Good call @jant71

The 100 sounds like it has better extension on both ends and a more natural balance across all frequencies vs. the 150 which feels concentrated between lower treble to mid-bass. Upper treble and sub-bass seem to take a slight step back.

When it comes down to it the 150 lacks the same toe-tapping, head-boppin' quality of the 100 for me. Could just be my personal signature preference coming through. Could also be that since the 100 arrived a couple weeks earlier I've spent a lot more time with them than the 150, so I've gotten used to it's presentation.

Either way they're both great, I just prefer the 100.

I believe your B150 was one of the earlier pre-mass production units, those are a bit more transparent than the final version.

I just wanted to also add that the B100 and B150, along with all other upcoming B series earphones and soon all Brainwavz earphones, have been built using audiophile fan favorite Kester solder, along with the high purity OFC copper cabling provides for better fidelity audio transmission.

Would the B150 I received (the earlier pre-mass production) and the B150 other got here be different in tuning? Or maybe we all got the same version of the B150?
