Hmmm thanks for the info...  So what pads DONT change the sound?? Besides the stock ones LOL

Yaxi StPad
Really
I lent my Yaxi to M50xBL and M40x at local meetup, doesn't alter so much sound signature like HM5 earpads. Both owners said midbass bit reduced but add low bass, and improve mid frequency (just make it laidback and little bit reduce sibilance)

All I know is that I got my M50 before June of 2011. That was almost 5 years ago!

And I haven't even changed the earpads! The M50 is more durable than I could have ever imagined. I've dropped it onto hard floors, stepped on it, and transported it countless times in a full backpack. It was the backpack that really messed up the headband pad.

Hello! The drivers of m50 and m50x are identical? Both Headphones sounds equal?

No. Bit better on M50x

Just curious, what do you guys use to wipe off the stock ear pads?

Using microfiber cloth, or my shirt when I don't bring microfiber. Don't forget to wipe the headband too

Just got my m50x today. Heard great things about it and finally got the extra money to buy it. Currently trying to get the burn in going through some constant listening.

Using my Nexus 6 with Neutron Music Player and Viper4Android. Easily the best sounding set up I've ever had. With the flac files I have (hip hop, isley brothers, and some other random files), my ears are pleased
