Soundstage is good for a closed headphone but it doesn't really rival open cans anywhere near its price range. It's got deep cups and distant mids so this is going to enhance the perceived soundstage almost by default. The bass is loose bleeds over those mids essentially drowning them out. Detail and comfort is superb but needs heavy EQ or amp combos to sound its best despite being very efficient on its own. I would reach for the M50 almost always unless I wanted a super laid back and relaxing sound.

the M50x only has average soundstage, but i like its tamer and cleaner treble and more well extended bass over the M50

note, I did try em, and I dunno. I really do not like bumps. I feel like usually stock headband is better than bumpy headband. personally preference of course so ymmv

does anybody know of a sweet deal for the M50x on amazon? My friend wants to buy one after hearing mine and he wants one that comes with something free, like an amp
