it should be Lite DAC60. apologies, too early.

Thanks, I'll look it up.

Ah, this is the one that uses used DAC chips.  Worth looking into, but not every part in the system is brand new.  Caveat Emptor.

2nd that question. When I look at the website it doesn't quite describe what PLL is: http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/dac/DAC1911/DAC19EN_Use.htm

Google says Phase Locked Loop.

The rest is Greek to me...

took a quick look..this jumper pull and push stuff..can't really understand...does it mean to press on it means push  or this there a physical thing you need to pull out from it? Pardon me....

you need to physically pull off or put on the "jumper" to adjust DSPV5 setting
the jumper is similar to what you usually see on HDD, ie you can google "jumper hdd" to see what it looks like :))

i c...but if by default there is no jumper on it..where to get the jumper to put it on ? For example by default PLL jumper is active (means OFF- no jumper) . In order to deactivate PPL , you need to set it ON (put in a new jumper to short it)....

Do you have old or dead 3.5" hard disk lying around? Should be able to get some from there. My m7 came with some jumpers in the package.

Yes. You are correct on the jumper installation.

anyway in layman terms, PLL is a feedback mechanism that tries to compensate for jitter variations from the input. If your input has constant and low jitter, you don't really need PLL. PLL works well for bad sources like a cheap cd transport with lousy jitter spec. But it also introduces it own form of delay/noise/distortion to the mix.

Here's a video on PLL

Try this article for description on DSP settings, it's in dutch, you need to translate it:

Translate:

Haha.. Jus found a bunch of it in the shipping package... +1 for kingwa to take k of the small details.... Btw disabling pll means not using internal clock for jitter control? So if I use an uptone regen Amber version which regenerates clean usb signal.. I shld use regen clock rite by disbAbling Dac pll?

Whether disabling PLL results in better sound really depends on your system's overall jitter. Try it out for yourself and share your experience with us. There's no right or wrong answer in this.

Disabling PLL means your dac's dsp no longer dictates clock and rely on the clocking from your source.
