I'm curious on the expected MSRP. I originally heard that these were going to be slotted under the LCD-3, but then someone was saying how it might be over the $2k price point. eagerly awaiting more news on these headphones and especially on the possibility for a new headband design that can retro-fit onto older Audeze models.

Maybe it will depend on the success or failure of HE-1000 and Ether.

I held off on any headphone upgrades in light of the Z and am continuing to wait for it and the amp it pairs with...

Not at all. The Z is supposed to be priced under the 3, and has the same headband...
