New Audeze LCD3

I have a pair of LCD3f and HE90 in hand. Many of my friends have auditioned my system recently.
I found there is no consistent review that Orpheus is definitely better than LCD3f. And almost every non-audiophile tells me that LCD3f is better than Orpheus..

All my non-audiophile friends have preferred my 3Fs on the Audio gd he-9 at the time to the 009 on Kgsshv.

I have heard the he90 on a couple of occasions and every time I preferred Stax 007mk1 or 009.

Well, that depends on personal taste.
I almost have the same setup us you-009+kgsshv while I have my first time tried with Orpheus, there are, however I find myself deeply indulging in Orpheus.

Here is a recent meeting in my den with my happy friends.

LCD3F significantly better than LCD2F?

Im looking for warm bold but not bommy sound in addition to my TH900 and HE560.

  I'm with you buddy.

If I'm yearning for the least musical, thin sounding, most unappealing bass, but a great soundstage and imaging, I'd reach for a 800 every time.

In Europe the HD800 is a lot cheaper than the Audeze ...about half the price in some retailers. However when the music has wide soundstage requirements like orchestral the lcd3 can sound congested. This is why some people like me want both in their collection. It isn't thin with the HD800 when driven well but never reaches that warm hug of sound you get with intimate vocals and smaller bands...

The 3Fs do not sound congested especially without grills/foam. Slightly muddy yes. But once one gets past that they actually sound very tonally correct, which is more than can be said for the stock HD800s.

Whilst talking about stock Hd800s how is that instrument imaging fuzziness working out for you.
