1. WIDE soundstage. Much wider than LZ-A2. Period.
2. Mids are clearer than LZ-A2 as well as significantly improved trebles
3. The striking feeling is slightly weaker than LZ-A2. Not a big difference.
4. Bass amount about the same as LZ-A2.
5. Overall feels airy and bright but never harsh. It still maintains the unique style of LZ's sound.
6. Is LZ-A3 upgrade of LZ-A2? Yes.

Paul, how do they feel in the ear ?  my Sure 215's physically hurt my ears after a few hours of use where they touch, the dqsm's i can wear all day without feeling pain.

I'm in the same situation. I want to stop throwing money on 234234 different Chinese headphones and get an IEM that'll last me a while. In the end, the total $ would be about the same, if I manage to stop ordering so many lower-end ones..
