Both, plus a Bryston B60R and a NAD receiver. I honestly feel the Neumann sounded exactly as it should.
If it was my only headphone I'd have no qualms, but it isn't.... so no big deal. lol
I would still be intrigued as to what effect on your impressions listening to the NDH 30 exclusively for a few weeks and then going back to your other headphones would have. As you can't return them you have nothing to lose!
With over 50 years in this hobby one can become a bit jaded, the Neumann name carries a fair amount of weight, sway, in some circles. One just has to be weary and not have the wool pulled over their ears. Just saying.

I wonder if the mixed impressions these get may be due to the angling of the driver and how it plays with individuals ears. I managed to get a brief audition of them today (will have a longer one later this week) and I liked them quite a bit and found they had great clarity and spatial properties and it handled dynamics quite well. Comfort also seemed pretty good, but I'll have to spend a few hours with them to know for sure.
Those are electrical phase measurements. Nothing to do with sound. Linear system means all frequencies will experience the same delay going through the transducer. Show me impulse response of the driver.
Electrical phase only matters to your amplifier.
Acoustic phase is a function of frequency response. Frequency response is only affected by impedance if your amplifier has appreciable output impedance (tube amps or Senn amps).
