I am planning to buy new headphones but am really confused. I just cant figure out what to buy. My budget is around $100. I heard great things about Shure SRH440 and also about Sennheiser HD 448. Please help me out. I just want to use it to listen to my ipod. Thanks in advance

What type of music do you listen to? Does it matter if they are opened or closed? Should they be portable?
 
In your range the the M50, HD555, ES7 would be worth looking at. The Shure 840 would also be worth a look if you can stretch your budget by about $30 for a used one on the FS forum.

Thnx for the reply. The cans should be portable, that is an important factor for me. I would prefer a closed headphone. I read that for my price range SRH440 is the best. And the 840 is $199, and that's double my budget.

Thnx for your reply man. I would prefer a closed can and portability is a vital factor for me. I mostly listen to punk rock, RnB, metallic, etc. And the 840s cost $200 and thats double my budget. Read great things about the 440s. Help me out please..
