Hi guys,
First of all, please excuse my poor English. It is not my native language.
I am, as the title suggests, looking for an open headphone in the $400 price range to pair with my Tubemagic D1 plus with factory upgraded opamps and tube.
So far I have narrowed it down to the HE-400 and HD600 (and maybe the more expensive HD650) since I am looking for a more or less neutral and open sound with a great soundstage. The genres I listen to are mostly rock (no metal), jazz and funk, but also acoustic music.
I have heard that the HD600 and HD650 sound great when used with the D1 amp which makes me wonder if they are a better buy...
Anyway, which pair of headphones do you think would fit me best? And what are your personal opinions on them?
And if you think a completely different set of headphones would be great for me, please let me know!
