Hello again.

I, after researching headphones extensively online, have decided on buying some modded Audio Technica ATH-M50's with removable cables. However, I'm not too sure I will prefer the stock cable, simply because it isn't very portable, so I want to get a different cable. I've boiled it down to basically two choices: the replacement cable for the Beats Solos, or one of the cables from V-MODA. I am also open to any other recommendations, but what I am mostly looking for is durability.

Thank you,

There are all of 'the usual suspects' pre-made; ranging from very inexpensive to very very expensive.
IME musicdirect has a very good selection.

You can also have one custom made for you by Redco Audio in Connecticut; they specialize in this.

Turnaround time is about a week.  Quality is always superb.
For durability I recommend the Neglex cable Mogami 2549.
It sounds great and is very durable.  Might actually be too heavy for a headphone cable.
(You can check the specs at mogami.com)
The Gotham GAC 3 is another way to go.  Thinner and lighter than the Mogami, it is
a phenomenal sounding cable.  I use it (with Neutrik terminations) when I need a
headphone extension.
