Just got myself of Axiom Audiobytes with the sub (~$500 PC speakers).
 
They come with their own amp, so I figured I'd shell out for a USB DAC rather than relying on my cheapo Xonar DS.
 
I need some recommendation...I'd probably be willing to pay around $200 if it's justifiable. Any recommendations?

How's the Maverick Audio Tube Magic D1? I really couldn't care less about the tube, but this thing is sexy as hell:

Also looking at the Pro-Ject USB Box. $159, without all the fancy bells and whistles (just a straight USB DAC, which is all I really need).

Ordered the Tube Magic. It's just too damned versatile for me to ignore. I think I'm going to ditch my current TV and monitor, get a better 1080p monitor, and hook up everything through that and get my sound through the Tube Magic.
 
Even though I wasn't big on the tubes, whatever, I added the $20 for the better tube in case I like it.
 
P.S. these Axiom Audiobytes are fantastic.

The sound quality is said to be good, based on postings from owners. You're right it is a sweet looking unit with a boatload of features for the price.
