Hmmm... I can't say I'm a big fan of Sony audio gear in general. They have good stuff, but it's rare among all their bagillion gear. What's your budget for the passive speakers, again?

Also, send me your craigslist location. I'll look for some vintage gear for you around your area.

EDIT: Those look almost exactly like the Behringer MS40 except the Sony has one front port... I dunno if I would trust it. I don't like the MS40 much...

Hehe. No problem. The Polk Audio Monitor 5, 5A, 5B, and 5 Jr. are all well-known to be amazing speakers for the price. One of the top budget vintage speakers out there.

Btw... PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Omg, if I knew how little space you had, I woulda just told you to keep to the Advents.

That's funny. I'm glad you like it. I wish you could get a downward tilting desktop stand for those. You're completely missing the sweet spot lol.

Nice. I'm actually surprised because... is it just me or are the speakers in really awesome condition for being almost 20 years old or older?

The speakers are in excellent condition, there are a couple chips on the back corners, but thats to be expected for 20+ years.

If you want something with alright sound quality and that is compact I would look at the creative gigaworks series.
