Okay, guys...

I have good news, and I have bad news.

The good news is that Mjolnir is looking very cool indeed (see attached nonprofessional pics--the pro stuff is still coming.)

The bad news is that they're currently not shippable. The last batch of metal we got in was the bottom piece (this is a 3-piece chassis, unlike all of our others--the aluminum is in two pieces.) And they all are dinged and nicked (see other attached photo--yes, I know it looks small, but it's a lot uglier in real life.)

This is a gigantic shock, since the guys we work with for metal parts have been dead-reliable since we started up with them. They're only 20 minutes away from our office, so we're going to go down today and see what we can do about it.

But, bottom line, we won't be shipping this week. We may not be shipping next week. It all depends on how quickly we can get this fixed.

I've updated the site, and we'll keep you apprised of when we expect to ship. We'll get this worked out as fast as we can. And apologies on the delay.

All the best,
Jason

some manufacturers close their eyes and ship it the way it is, nice to hear you're not that way.

Quick update: the chassis guys are stepping up, and I expect to be shipping by the 14th, as stated on the site. Keep your fingers crossed, though--you never know what's going to happen until the parts are actually here. Tons of boards are here and ready to go, so it's really down to the chassis.

Just a couple of things Jason... Im currently enjoying my Lyr and Bifrost and Im looking at getting an HE-500. So far, I have been simply amazed by the quality and performance of your products and I admire the way you run your company.

Ive been reading about your new releases and once the right time comes, I might consider the "end-game" DAC that you are teasing us with. However there is one thing which is still unclear to me. IS there a new and statement amp planned? Given that the Mjolnir and Gungir are coming sort of together, it would certainly make sense to have an amp that will come with the best DAC.

Another thing.. I keep seeing your products stacked on top of each other. I personally think it looks very appropriate but it doesnt really help with cooling and damping. The Lyr has very tiny feet and the Bifrost has no feet. I will definitely buy some cones to stop vibration going to the tubes and also to separate the Lyr too cool it down easily. I think that you need to include some damping cones into your designs of your higher end gear.

Apart from that I think you are doing an excellent job and thanks a lot for the Lyr and Bifrost, great stuff especially for a college student like me. Also.. always looking forward to your FAQs.. legendary stuff.. brilliant attitude.

Regards,

Mike

There is a statement amp being designed to go with the statement DAC (it will actually be offered as either SS or tubed, so almost like 2 statement amps).

Jason's stated before that it's fine to stack them with the included feet as long as the amp's on top, I do so with my Bifrost and Asgard and have had no issues. Both my Bifrost and Asgard came with the little stick-on feet, sounds like a mistake that your Bifrost did not.
