I recently purchased the nuforce ne-6 as a replacement for my senn cx500 that i had also recently purchased but lost because of carelessness. They seem to reproduce sounds alarmingly similarly and even have the eerily similar driver opening appearance and sizes. The only thing that I notice is that nuforce didn't boost the mid-low if they purchased the driver form the same chinese company, but they did enhance the mids to the point of nearly distorting them.

No. Sennheiser uses mainly Foster Japan for OEM, and Foster makes their own driver (no to mention EP630 sound nothing like the CX300 series, where both are OEM'ed by Foster). On the other hand, NE6/7M is OEM'ed by SoundMAGIC.
