Would love to see some size pic comaprisons.

The main reason I went to Tomahawk over the Supermicro, was the ridiculous wait time.

I concur. But a Xin is still in the back of my mind all the time.

I also prefer the better SQ (IMHO) of the Hornet 'M' over the Toma. If the Supermicro is =SQ to the Toma I don't think I'd bother ATM. However if the Reference is that step or two above, and typical smaller Xin form factor....

didn't Rob/Skylab report on his huge amp comparison thread that the supermicro has been discontinued??? If so, seems this thread is now flawed

It;s on page 142, post #1415 where he lists all discontinued and still in manufacture amps.

There's always the secondhand market (i.e. the FS threads)!

I just went to Dr. Xin's website and the Supermicro IV is still being ofered. So unless Rob spoke w/ Dr. Xin and he has not had a chance to revise his website the amp is still available for sale. Or it could be an error in the amp list.

Cool Stuff

Or maybe at the rate Xin has been shipping them out, it just seems like it's been discontinued.
