My Return to Vinyl

the current underground fav for needle cleaning is the "Mr. Clean Miracle eraser" Just drop the needle onto the eraser a few times and you are done. People usually cut it up into small squares, poke it on a toothpick and go. Do not use them wet, and do not brush with the eraser either.

You can make a RCM out of an old vacumm cleaner and record changer. Search the web. If you want to buy something start with the disc doctor system with the brushes and clean manually.

Comfy -

Grats on the new rig, and all the new stuff to buy and stuff to do. Ain't this a great hobby? Your new stuff sounds great.

Too much of a computer-phile to try vinyl. All my old records grew mold on them after a hurricane ran over me in Galveston aways back. When we moved to Houston about a year later, my wife surprised me with a CD player. Back when CDs were not easy to find. That Sony CDP still works - 20 years later, and is used at least a couple times a week now.

Have fun with your new gear. We need to compare stuff one day.
