i got one.... but not sure whether it's suitable.... it's actually for industry fiber optic... like server I/Os... but i think that should be ok... have u find one?
no... u still need the main system clock input in order to operate the 1703.... ppl is used on the system clock out... that's mean u need a main clock for input, then 4 output clock, u can either choose ppl or cyrstal mode....
for the clock speed, there is no best speed.. all depend on the sampling frequency u want, i used 12.288Mhz...
which is 128fs..
hmm... i think u misunderstood, in ppl mode the clock out will follow what u configured at SCF0 and SCF1... while in crystal mode, the output clock will follow the main clock...
the speed is important 'cos it's a product of the sampling frequency, fs, e.g. 128x96KHz=12.288Mhz
Actually u can run from single source, i don't see any problem with that... but make sure u got the clock speed accurate at DIR.. it's not that important for PIC....
I left the project too long... now i need to dig and study the datasheet back...
p/s: i wanted to watch the Matrix as well.... but my exam is tomoro....
