My First Car!

^^ That's how I felt about my old I-6 Cherokee Sport and my new Wrangler Unlimited JK. For some reason, both fit me like a glove, but I never felt comfortable in a Grand Cherokee :)

Congrats on the first car! Take good care of it.

Oh, compact hatchbacks and wagons are amazing. Lots of cargo space while still having damn good gas mileage (I hear gas prices there in UK are crazy high).

I almost bought a Yaris as my first car, 5 years ago. After doing my research, I realized that while I can afford a brand new car, I still needed to get acclimated to driving here in the US. I ended up buying a '93 civic hatchback. 6 months later, I "sold" the little civic to my younger brother, then I went ahead and bought my first brand new car ('07 Civic Si Sedan).

First cars are great experiences. Mine was a brand new '76 VW Beetle--about $2600 out the door. The Bi-Centennial Cosworth Vega (DOHC, 4V per cylinder) was tempting, but luckily I stayed away. I still have the original Texas License plate.

first car: 1987 Hyundai Excel hatchback.  used to just ash in the car when i smoked because it was so crappy.  first car i purchased was a 2003 350Z... but had to sell it when child #1 came. 2 seater + baby =/= happy wife.

Put it this way....

When I get into my car with my camera gear, it instantly more than double the value of the car.

Ha, tell that to the insurance companies when they tell you your items were only worth 'market value'.

This was my first can, a 1954 Buick Super, mine was maroon & white. You could dance in the back there was so much floor space.

Pretty much my first car (not my actual car but as close as)

Had two more after that. The last one I dropped a 2.0 litre engine in and then a T25 turbo, stripped it out, crappy tyres - the fun I had.
