Musical Fidelity V-DAC Mk. II & V-Link Mk. II

I bought the V-DAC II shortly after it was launched and was very pleased with it, but a proper power supply is a must if you want to know what it can do. This does mean that you are looking at budgeting more than the price of the DAC on its own.

However, late last year the DAC began to intermittently cut out and the lights would flicker on the unit. Disconnecting the V-PSU and reverting to the original wallwart, the DAC worked again perfectly normally and still does.

It is no longer my main unit for music listening, as I have replaced it with an ADL Esprit, but it still gives good service, hooked up to the TV's coaxial digital output. For this, less performance-critical purpose, I haven't looked into trying any other PSUs with it.

Hi folks. I'm currently using an ODAC and I have no complaints about it. However, I've been given the chance of a V-DAC 2 for £50. It sounds like a bargain but will I hear a difference over the ODAC?
