Music That Makes You 'Shiver'

This is weird because I'm only partially into classical music, but I had a bad dream once and right at the moment of the scariest part, I heard Strauss' Death and Transfiguration. Since then, it has always given me chills.

I can think of a few but here are a few key:

"Exit Music for a Film" - Radiohead , the whole thing but I like when it crescendos at 2:47

"Little Wing" - my favourite version is SRV's (I know I know.... sacrilege) until at least I heard Hendrix play it on Disc 2 of his box set f*ing amazing, I still get chills

Maggot Brain - Funkadelic

Elgar's Cello Concerto in E Minor (Op. 85) especially the first movement

Dayvan Cowboy - Boards of Canada especially to the music video of Joseph Kittenger's high altitude jump: YouTube - Boards of Canada - Dayvan Cowboy (High Quality)

Is There Anybody Out There - Pink Floyd the guitar / soundscape

Songs that give you goosebumps are the reason I'm into audiophilia in the first place.

For some reason "In My Place" by Coldplay... eegh, Coldplay!

"Portrait of Tracy" by Jaco Pastorius

Also, I agree with Binaural... getting the shiver is essentially why I wanted to find better audio gear.

At this moment, I am listening to Passion: Music for "The Last Temptation of Christ" by Peter Gabriel & it's making me shiver....but then again I don't have the heat on & the room is kinda cold.

That is the only song I can listen to ad infinitum and not get bored.
