Windows media centres( due to dolby headphone) is great to play WAV, WMA lossless files(don't know about other lossless formats) and few others under $100 are like Roxio, Nero and they offers highquality audio playback software.

There are a lot of players out there,

http://www.foobar2000.org/
http://getmusicbee.com/
http://www.mediamonkey.com/
http://www.jriver.com/
http://www.winamp.com/

To just name a few.

As long as there is nothing broken with the player (decoder bugs or output bugs) the output should be much the same between the players since you are using lossess.

Just try them out and find one that works well for you.

Jriver for sure... A lot of options (even in comparison with Foobar) and great visual. Absolutely stunning and fast soft.

+1 for Foobar.

Take some time and set it up right, and you'll be set.

Don't rush and make sure you find a theme and components that work for you, or you'll find yourself tweaking your configurations more than listening to your music. I speak from experience :)
