Music. Tuberolling involves sitting around, listening to the same stuff over and over, then trying to figure out the difference between them.
I guess some people like to obsessively search out details, but that's not for me. I'd much rather have a working set of tubes that sounds good and explore new music instead.
So get new music instead. Unless you want to do comparisons, you'll get a lot more out of it.
Though I'd recommend a tuner as opposed to music or tubes. If you don't have one, you can find great used tuner for $50-$100. Or get the Sony HD radio (very, very good) for about $90. You can roll your own antenna for $5-$10 and then you'll get a limitless source of new music. I'd also recommend a turntable, but you have to get a few hundred into one to make it worthwhile.
