Amazon is apparently having some special deal for the MTMD and their 250 now, should I get those instead of the Golds I was about to get?

If you can afford or justify the price difference, then I don't see why not... from most of the consensus, the MD's are generally considered slightly more refined, lusher, and smoother.

Gold went down to $152 on amazon a couple of months ago
Keep an eye on price, varies ,especially on amazon

Yup the MD is currently at a very good price, go for it! Copper has been around 216 for few weeks. Previously I think I saw MD for 300+

so with along with $15 promo credit I was able to pick up the mt md from amazon @ $235.
