thats odd, what OS are you guys using?

Ive been using 2 USB DAC's one is the Lyrix total which is a amp and a DAC and the other is a GO-Vibe USB dac. Both work for ASIO4ALL and foobar. I never had any crackling or breaking up. I think maybe once while i was burning a CD, listening to music and moving some music over to a USB Drive.

Hm.. Must be quite a powerful computer you got there..

Pretty much anything that i did ended up crackling the nuforce. Scrolling down webpages, blowing up pictures, watching a movie, etc.

I tried so many things but didn't want to go all the way into reformatting my computer with it having a MAYBE shot of working so I just figure until i upgrade my computer in a couple years, I can get an amp then. Until then tho, I'd like the best sounding headphones for price i can get

Altogether it was a solid system at the time i got it and I probably won't upgrade for another 2 and a half years.

So an amp is out of the question for me... well hmm can a fiio e5 connected to my headphone out do me any good?

Whoa.. Something's not right here..
2GB's of RAM and a duo core processor should not be that weak..

Check your task manager (ctrl + alt + del does it in vista), check the "Processes" tab, sort them by their CPU usage, take note of the applications which use the highest CPU.
Then sort them by their memory usage, again, take note.

I can't think of any other possible explanation than having a bunch of background programs (Kaspersky, for instance) hogging up the resources.

Try checking the resource manager as well.

Life must be horrible knowing that you can't get that beautiful sound with your d2000.. (What? You have D2000's? This is definitely a case of upgraditis then, it's official

Fortunately d2000 sound great even without an amp. I've compared them and of course the sound with the amp was amazing but i'm completely happy with the sound coming from my laptop.

So yea the ms1 is my 2ndary, but of course since i dont want to upgrade for a long time, i was thinking maybe the sr225 would be a better one.

So im curious about this thing. If I attach a Cmoy or e5 directly to the headphone out and put my headphone into the e5 or cmoy, then the sound quality will be drastically better???

no, you just amping the sound you hear when you plug it into your laptop directly.

You might get a slight difference in sound, but nothing drastic at all.

My grados (with comfies) are 1000% more comfortable than my ATs. I have a smallish head though.
