I'm looking to buy my first pair of high quality headphones, and based on what I've read on these forums (wonderful community here, by the way!), I've narrowed my choices down to the Alessandro MS-1 or the ATH-AD700. I listen to mostly blues, folk, and rock, but I like to indulge in the occasional classical piece. The phones will be unamped. I'd love to hear all your thoughts!

If you're leaning towards the Grado line, check out the SR-80s. Compared to the MS-1s, they have more energy and satisfying bass. The MS-1s were designed to be more laid back and are also brighter, which may not be the best if you like to listen to electric guitar.
