MQA.... Scam or not?

Does it do it for all formats or only MQA bypass to external DAC? UAPP is what people usually use with Tidal and Qobuz to bypass Android resampling. And yes, it sounds significantly better whether it's online streaming or local files.
Qobuz sounds great with UAPP, but it does not work offline, and I find UAPP to be quite buggy.

Tidal's bit-perfect mode works with 'HiFi' (CD resolution FLAC) and 'Masters' (MQA FLAC) I don't know about MP3. It works with content you have downloaded, which is what I want to do with my phone, I don't need to use my phone for music at home.

It does not work with all DACs, I have about 8 dongles it will play to half of them bit-perfect, the others still work but you are listening to Android's processing. Both my IFi xDSD and Hidizs DH80S DAC/amps work, but I had to get a non standard firmware from Hidizs.

Does the SR25 have Qobuz? I think most good DAPs avoid the sample rate conversion of normal Android devices, Qobuz should sound fine on it.
yes,you can download many services. now only found it

Tidal seems to be available in at least 61 countries, Qobuz only 24. Qobuz is not available in the 2 countries where I live and work. So I have Tidal Hifi Plus, Deezer Hifi (desktop app got much better recently but still not bitperfect) and scamazon HD (no bitperfect desktop app). But I use Bluesound devices with all 3 so I get bitperfect and MQA from all three services.

I really wish that once MQA goes away, the compression algorithm and reconstruction filter can be made public. MQA has some good ideas in tech, but the business model is just plain exploitative.

I wish MQA just extinct and people simply go back to lossless formats.
The world is going 5G and is still advancing..I don't see a reason to use lossy format in high end audio.

In my opinion MQA is a scam that tries to look like the next big thing in Audio. I remember thinking to myself when I was new to this hobby and seeing their marketing material for the first time that I must get into this, so I went and bought an MQA capable DAC then spent the whole day trying to figure out where the huge difference that I was promised laid and for the death of me I couldn't notice any difference but I just lied to myself and said that the difference was there and it was huge just so I could justify the money I had spent on both Tidal and the DAC that I had bought. MQA can stay but we should be given the choice to choose if we want it or not, but the way Tidal does things right now just seems like they are trying to force you into it. They are however working on giving a lossless option as per them on Reddit which is nice. I personally will never come back to Tidal since almost all of the niche tracks aren't available there. Am waiting for the day Spotify comes with their lossless option and disrupt the whole market of Hifi Audio due to their massive audio library.
