First one was a 512mb Creative Zen Nano Plus for $75. This was around the time mp3 players started to drop in price. There was a lot of talk about the iPod lithium-battery life only lasting a year so I was happy this thing used replaceable AAA batteries...in the beginning! I went through so many batteries and it was a hassle with such short battery life. Once you go lithium, you never go back. Never again.

My first was a Rio Nitrus back in 2004, I think. It was a great little player, with (in my opinion) amazing ergonomics and a very streamlined interface.

iRock 530 128mb MP3 player.

I saved an extra week's pay so I could get both the player and a 128mb SmartMedia card for it. I was eighteen then, so this was in 2001.

I got my first DAP christmas evening 2004. A piece of crap from... Newtech, i believe. It broke a few months later, and i fell in love with the Creative Zen Micro in may 2005. So i like to call the Zen Micro my first player.

In january 2007 i bought Zen Vision:M, and in april 2008 the ZEN 32 GB...

I originally purchased an MPman F20 back in 1999, I sold it due to lack of storage and purchased a Sharp Recordable Minidisc. I kept the Mini Disc to 2002 before switching to a small iRiver I picked up in Pittsburgh and then moved onto an iPod in 2004.

I've stuck with iPods ever since, I'm currently using a iPod Classic 80gb, personally I quite happy with it.

My first was a 512MB iRiver iFP-190T, top of the range at the time.

Awesome player, wouldn't use it now. My D2 has 20GBs.

H10 6GB, jan 06 (i think, maybe one before). am still rocking these, just not enough space. but would rather spend money on headphones and amps. plus, it forces me to put on music i haven't heard in a while (ok, i force me to). great boon for trying out new music. too bad you cant upgrade the HD, well at least i don't think you can. anyone know if you can on a H10 5/6 gb?

Creative Nano Plus - 1GB plus FM radio was my first 'proper' MP3 player, now moved on to an 8GB Creative Zen. Before that is was MD and CD players for portable use, and still is in the main.
