Hey guys,
I have decided that I want to move away from portable amps and move onto a desktop setup. I use Grado headphones.

I currently have the Corda headsix and am looking for something a little more. I don't take my ipod with my amp out anyway. So, might as well get something else that is better for home use.

Not looking to spend crazy amounts of cash. Around $200.

Please educate me. I don't know what tube amps do and all that jazz.

thanks a lot

does it use rca jacks? I would like to try an amp that uses RCA if possible. Not necessary though.

thanks

A CKK-III would be a good option to consider, as well as a Dynalo.

Both of those are terrific amps. You might also be interested in the Eddie Current Lunch Box for $225. More information here:

In that price-range the ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/PreAmp might be what you are looking for.

I haven't got any experience with this amp/dac (yet

) but there are people here that are raving about it.

It is a very versatile AMP/DAC with RCA/optical and Coaxial (no USB though), and it has the possibility to roll op amps.
