It's more orange. I can't really compare to that much.

The only other "good" (more like just expensive) mousepad I had was the razer vespula. This is smoother and more slippery for sure.

And I mean the slippery side of the vespula, not the rough side.
Also, vespula is a big nono.
Regular use will scratch it which in turn scratches the mouse =(

Razer Scarab here. (It has since then changed name / evolved to the Razer Destructor 2; it looks fairly identical save for the color)
 

 
All I wanted was a slick hard mat to glide my mouse on... that wasn't my desk's bare surface.

Bought in 2011, still looks and perform the same. Not peeling.
