Most Comfortable Headphones?

Sennheiser 570's gotta be one of the most comfortable headphones out there. Much more confortable than beyer 880's! 880's are rather painful compared to 570's. Bit dissapointing. Hopefully MDR-SA5000. are more comfortable...?

Sony CD3000 are the most comfortable headphones I've worn. Imo they are slightly more comfortable then Senn 580/600/650 and you some times forget they are there when listening to them

. Least comfortable are without a doubt Grados.

The 590 is really freakin comfy.
With the phones I've got, most to least:
hd590
a900
hd580
dt770
sr125/senn pads
ksc35
ksc75

The er4 is such an entirely different kind of beast that I have a hard time reconciling it with the others in terms of comfort. That said, I find it easy to fall asleep with the foamies in, yet I never forget I've got things sticking in my ear.....not that I mind

For me the most comfortable cans that I own and have tried so far:

AT-A700's and the various AT woodies - 3D wing support system rest comfortably on my head and pleather pads cushions my ears. I don't get the hot ear sensation so the issue of the pleather pads being too warm after long periods of use isn't a problem for me.

DT-531 - These cans are light and the velour pads are very soft. Pads are more comfortable than the pleather pads that are on my AT cans.

CD3000 - The heaviest of all the cans mentioned above but the pleather pads on them are softer that those of the AT's. The Sony's pleather pads to me are the softest next to the DT-531's.

Here are some of the headphones that are in the race for comfort:

HD650 - these are really comfortable but clamp too hard
DT770 - these were very comfortable, probably the nicest pad material
HD590 - they take the cup in overall comfort IMO
sr-60's - hah, relatively not so comfy...

I notice a lot of folks compare the DT531 with the likes of the DT770 and DT880 for comfort, but as already touched upon by Iron Dreamer, the DT770 & 880 certainly are not as comfortable as the DT531. For a start the DT770 Pro has quite a small headband, so it could be a tight fit... of course you can take the leather pad off the headband for a bit more room, but I certainly didnt like the feel of it. Either on or off, I felt the headband burned my scalp, and the clamping force and weight was noticably more than the DT531 which has no scalp burn, clamping force is just right, and the pads are soft and non itchy.

The only other headphone that I've tried that comes close is the CD3000.

Other headphones have other flaws that dont make them that great IMO:-

Grado - need I say more?

Senn 6xx - Highish clamping force, itchy pads
Sony CD1700 - Itchy pads
Beyer 770/880/990 - Headband too small, scalp burn
Beyer 831/931 - Close, but the weight still make it slightly worse than DT 531.
AKG K2xx - Dont like the pad material, sticky and sweaty, clamping force

All IMHO of course.

Of all the headphones I own:

1. Triports (no they don't snap every 4h, in fact I've stepped on mine twice and there still fine, but yes they don't sound so good)
2. B&O A8's
3. Grado SR60
4. Sony MDR-V500DJ
5. Grado SR40
6.Apple in the ear
7. Sony EX71

These Radio Shack headphones are the headphones my dad uses because they're so comfortable. He admits my SR-80's are amazing, but these RS phones but be felt to be believed. I wish I could slap some KDC-50 drivers in there or something, they're that comfortable, it's amazing. Lightweight? Heck, they're invisible. And the foam is really like the softest stuff you've ever felt.

edit: BTW they pretty much suck sound-wise. Too airy and bassless.
