How did you establish that playing 32/384 PCM is what makes Dusk sound so good, and not the PEQ applied by the DSP cable?
Solid point. I just remembered that DSP Cable has few different EQ settings.

Specification for DSP Cable state that it has 32/384 DAC. That is very high resolution, compared to what many will play through included 3.5mm Stock Cable, 16/44 FLAC, which sounds a lot less interesting.

My point was that DSP Cable only shows you how good Dusk can potentially sound. Some were left dissapointed in sound quality after switching to included 3.5mm Stock Cable (which is not that great), saying Dusk does not sound good when hooked up with analogue Cables. Not true.

What is interesting with these DSP cables is that they open a whole new way of designing IEMs: the DSP is there to compensate Freq. response tradeoffs that would not be acceptable with a passive cable. The designer can improve other aspects of the IEM sound, without worrying too much about the FR and target.

I’m considering purchasing the Dusk or the Dunu Brain Dance. Can someone familiar with pairing the Dusk DSP (… & app…) with an iBasso DAP (e.g., DX180) please comment on the pairing being compatible? That is, I hear the Dusk DSP doesn’t play nice with Hiby Android DAPs.

I not yet sure that I wouldn’t be using the Dusk in analog for critical listening, but I might want to use its DSP in certain portable situations.

Tia…

I recently got the Dusk and here is my review!

Very all-rounded and a solid iem IMO.
