But it is true? You must be an atheist.
The internet, where it has become really difficult to say if the most ridiculous stuff is serious or not.

If it's made from real meteorite material, which is seems it is. It's either Aletai or Muonionalusta. If I had to guess Aletai as the grain patterns seems a bit thicker. Can you confirm if it's Aletai? Muonion is more desirable but Aletai is still really cool

It may be the geek in me, but I think it's cool if it's made from a real meteorite slab and not just resin.

Also is the Aletai treated for rusting?

Fun facts about Aletai can be found on a piece sold on Sotheybys.

"Additionally, the Meteor features a meteorite panel embedded in the back cavity of the bass dynamic driver. This panel acts as a vibration damper, integrating the ancient influence of meteorites, which have formed over billions of years, into the sound cavity, further improving the audio experience. "

That must be one fire bag of weed.. Furthermore, What does this even mean @MOONDROP ? Tell us how this improves the audio experience? Asking for a friend.

Good insight, learning more about these meteorites now. Wild stuff...

Reason why wooden speakers don't sound like iPhone in a paper cup is the density and weight of the cabinets. You want them to be heavy.

Same here: "panel acts as a vibration damper". This kind of meteorite is mostly Iron and Nickel, with some Iridium and Gold, heavier and denser than most Faceplates materials.

That bag was fire - these look stunning.

This end of year is witnessing never seen before idiotic marketing and it's becoming insufferable
I can add moondrop to the list of brands to mock if someone is buying their items.
I mean, the material is super exotic, to the point people keep asking if it's real. It looks wild. Most likely Iron-Nickel composition, much heavier and denser material than common Faceplates, which makes it a better vibration dampener.

Pair that with smoky, see-through body and...

...and I'm drooling again.

The meteorite panel on the back is creating its own gravity and holding them in
just curious... what keeps the ear tips from sliding off while in the ears...
1. Cleaning well the nozzles of IEM and inside Ear Tip core with microfiber cloth or suede de-greases contact surfaces and makes things stick well. If you are not doing that every time you install or swap Ear Tips they might slide off easier. Always keep nozzles pointing down when you clean IEM so nothing like dust, skin flakes or ear wax fall inside sound tubes.

2. Ear Tips come with different diameter cores, usually about 4mm. Nozzles on Moondrop x Crinacle Dusk are about 6mm. No sliding so far.
Some cores have "steps" inside to lock on nozzle lip. For lipless nozzles these would have less contact surface area. Straight cores, without "steps" inside, have larger contact surface area - Ear Tip will stick to nozzle better.

Unless you sweat a lot or steam up wearing IEM, straight nozzles are fine.

Most likely it's harder (takes time, cost more) to polish nozzles with a lip. Putting metal insert nozzles with a lip, like on Thie Audio, does increase the complexity and cost. Looks alone might be the reason too: slick, clear and see-through all around is a neat look. I can think of few other reasons.

However, if Moondrop is reading this, it would be far more "reassuring at first sight" for many to see a lip. Any lip.

Since shells on these are 3D Printed, what makes adding lip difficult?

Our METEOR has arrived—make a wish quickly! This impressive Meteor features one dynamic driver, two mid-range balanced armatures, and four treble planar drivers. Priced at $499.99, let’s explore more about it!
未标题-1.jpg

Meteor, is a remarkable multi-driver tribrid earphone that incorporates innovative technology and design. This earphone features a high-quality driver configuration with one bass dynamic driver, two mid-range balanced armatures, and four treble planar drivers. However, its performance surpasses these specifications.

The XTM complex technology series employs a sophisticated frequency crossover architecture that successfully accommodates seven drivers within the Meteor. Notably, it includes an oversized bass dynamic driver, enhancing the overall audio experience.
3.jpg

The uniquely designed multi-driver frequency crossover acoustic structure allows the innovative placement of the 13mm oversized bass dynamic driver. This driver, equipped with an N52 neodymium magnet and a composite dome diaphragm, delivers an ultra-large dynamic range and significantly lower distortion compared to traditional arrangements of balanced armatures and miniature dynamic drivers.

Additionally, the Meteor features a meteorite panel embedded in the back cavity of the bass dynamic driver. This panel acts as a vibration damper, integrating the ancient influence of meteorites, which have formed over billions of years, into the sound cavity, further improving the audio experience.

Meteor adopts four brand-new miniature planar magnetic treble driver on each side. Although manufacturing precision is equivalent to that of balanced armatures, the miniature planars avoid the problems of narrow bandwidth and high odd-harmonic distortion caused by balanced armature drive pins.
The Meteor four miniature planar magnetic drivers deliver lower distortion, more detail and smoother treble than equivalent balanced armatures, and are easier to drive than earphones with electrostatic drivers.

The customized mids composite dual balanced armatures are designed to deliver exceptional sound quality and a dynamic fullness that perfectly fits the Target. This is achieved through a specially designed acoustic nozzle, damper configuration, and frequency crossover circuit, resulting in a natural and open timbre with enhanced treble and bass performance.

A precise passive acoustic notch filter structure is created by combining metal components with 3D-printed front cavity technology within the acoustic nozzle path of the dynamic driver.
This configuration effectively eliminates fluctuations caused by the resonance of the dynamic driver at 4.7 kHz and 7.2 kHz, thereby producing a purer and smoother sound.

Meteor features a 0.78mm 2-pin interchangeable socket, which expands its functions by swapping out various cables or accessories, such as LittleWhite or FreeDSP.

This newly designed cable, made from copper and silver-plated with a Litz structure, features a plug that is securely attached with a newly designed screw. This design not only enhances aesthetics but also offers practicality, allowing for easy replacement.

As always, any comments are welcome.

Sound reasoning @Max Watts! .. I was hoping @MOONDROP would have played up that driver configuration.. Seems kind of unique. Going to see how this fares.. I'd definitely want to know more about the sound signature, so looking forward to reviews and impressions.

"The Aletai meteorite (likely) is a large iron meteorite that broke apart as it entered Earth's atmosphere, scattering fragments.

Size: estimated to have been up to 100 tons, with the largest fragment weighing 28 tons. Location: discovered in the Xinjiang region of China.
Strewn field: approximately 500 kilometers long".

It makes sense for Moondrop to use this unique, (possibly) local material. Thin sliced pieces of meteorite this size are reasonably priced. Moondrop posted picture of meteorite pieces thess cut out from:
