Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

New headphones from moondrop soon :-D
I'm excited and concerned at the same time. I'm looking forward to what they can do in full-sized domain, but also concerned they put out another mediocre Chifi headphone. I see Moondrop as being better than the usual Chifi product being put out, so I have high expections of it. Can't think of any notable Chinese headphone maker besides Hifiman. If I compare product quality/presentation, Moondrop is way better, and I hope this continues if they decide to put out full-sized. If we look at Hifiman products, Fang compromises build quality by cutting cost too much, and charging way beyond the build quality's worth.

Moondrop is stepping up to the full-size sector? Very curious to see how they differentiate themselves from the competition...

The driver material of KPE/KXXS and Starfield are different.

KPE/KXXS utilizes DLC or diamond like carbon, and Starfield utilizes carbon nanotube drivers.

Don't ask me what different properties these materials exhibit as I'm not a material scientist.

Moondrop KXXS hype guy here. I've just ordered the Moondrop Starfield and can't wait to receive them!

Magico speakers use carbon-nanotube layered transducers so it'll be interesting to know the acoustic properties of the carbon nanotubes.
