Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

Will the person who did the tuning for the S8 be handling this project also?
Is Herbert the main guy tuning the iems or is there a team that works on measurements and driver developments, etc.?

It do because our ear canal affect the transmission of sound into our canal in a big way, the exact reason that a lot of custom in ear manufacturer sounds different with their universals.
I have experienced universal demo that was intended to be a custom fit, but provided a universal demo, and it was so bright sounding, but the custom wasn't. I don't think the universal was tuned at all. The only iem the universal demo sounded better than the custom was UERMs interestingly.

He will, we corporate together in tuning, It's just sometimes one person or another is making more decisions.

The bass performance of CIEM depends a lot on the bore, so if you used a thinner, longer bore, you lose a lot of bass, while I don't know why uerm sound worse in CIEM, I used to have unique Melody mentor V1 and FLC 8 custom, I prefer their universals.

Its release is not on exact calendar yet... Likely to be later this year.
Is it meant to be better than the Starfield in quality and a change in sound presentation? Any ideas on cost? also assume that covid-19 has delayed it a bit.

It should be something replacing the positioning of crescent, but since the prototype exceeded our expectations a lot, could be a little bit more expensive.

that sounds nice. I personally hope that there will be a warmer iem from you guys that is above the starfield, maybe around the Blessing 2 in both price and performance.

Didn't Blessing 2 dropped the bass energy between 20-80Hz by few dBs from the original Blessing to meet VDSF target?
While I am still waiting for my Blessing 2 to arrive, I noticed that Blessing's tuning is similar to that of Viento Ref. (one of my favorite IEM).
Getting excited!

Have to say, really like Kxxs when applying Oratorys non-Harman pEQ.
