Monoprice Monolith Liquid Spark - By Alex Cavalli

I had a Magni 3 version 1, JDS Labs version 1, and I always preferred the sound of the LS. It does not cause listener fatigue like the other two headphone amplifiers. The LP has the same signature as the LS, just more of everything. IMO they're both excellent headphone amplifiers and I'm glad that Dr. Cavalli has been able to bring his designs to a larger number of headphone enthusiasts, through Monoprice. I do wonder if he will ever design more products for the company. 👍
Thanks for that. Getting around to setting up a new headphones listening spot/station with a lovely new recliner ha ha. Too cumbersome with my main stereo rig/running an extension cable, switching outputs etc... Trying to figure what matches up best and I want my Stax to be involved also (have those amps too). Figure a straight headphone amp without any built in DAC is a good choice.

And the looks. 🤷‍♂️
It looks a bit like my McCormack Micro Line Drive, just smaller. Pretty cool. Looking to incorporate both in it's own rig.

Wow, a blast from the past!! I've always liked the look of the older McCormack gear which always stood out with its bold design.
I wonder if Steve ever got his DNA 500 power amplifier into full production?

What a blast from the past! Did not realize the similarity between the old McCormack gear and the monoprice Cavalli gear. I've always liked the look of the older McCormack gear which always stood out with its bold design.

I wonder if Steve ever got his DNA 500 power amplifier into full production? Is he still in business? Does his wife Joyce still handle the sales end of the business? It's been decades since I've heard mention of the brand. At one time they were a household name in HiEnd audio circles and well thought of.

I tried to reach out to Steve for some service but never heard back. Conrad Johnson bought the name and they really don't support this unit anymore either sadly.
