Hi , just wondering what external DACs you guys have used with your Liquid X Gold and which paired well?

Would a Chord mojo2 pair well ?

I've been using the ifi iDAC2 lately and really like it. Gonna try another DAC soon probably SMSL M300se. Trying to stay away from ESS and AKM as they all sound similar to me.

Watched a movie this afternoon. Optical signal coming from TV. Signal does not come hot, and with the attenuator, finished the movie at 1 o'clock on low gain. I never go that far in the volume knob with regular music and without attenuation with my cans. Still, plenty of juice left -- although these Shures are really easy to drive.

Just as another reference, if I watch a movie with the HD800S, optical from TV and without the attenuator, volume knob is around 11 o'clock.

I keep this LGX in a messenger bag and occasionally use it to check if it is still working. And it is. And the best of all, dust-free.
