He sells for parts cost and

Did you build your own custom BHSE?
I was already impressed with the 009 paired with the KGSSHV, so the carbon should definitely (hopefully) satisfy my demands hahaha.
I'm also planning on getting a yggy in the future (after I get the SR009 & Carbon), how do you feel it pairs with the 009?

I bought my BHSE, which was built by one of the higher ups on the builder chain

I don't really like the 009 all that much, but the yggdrasil is a solid performer

Carbon already sold for 4600 on Birgir's site.

Circlotron should be more but the parts cost hasn't been finalized. There's a lot more that needs to go into assembly

I don't have enough cash for all these damn amps!

whats difference betweem cyclo and carbo?   I thought cyclo is carbo just different powersupply and carbon is just updated KGSSHV

you should search for what a circlotron is, floating power supplies are just for the output stage

carbon is a common gate amplifier, it only shares the input stage with the KGSSHV

I would say refrain from sending Kevin PM's for this, if he wants to comment here he will. Then again I'm one of the people who bothers him so

Common gate is just a basic amplifier toplogy, which refers to the type of amplification used at the output stage. The output device is a silicon-carbide mosfet, from where the "carbon" part of the name was derived. I would have preferred kgsic but people seem to like the ring.

The tube equivalent is grounded grid, which is what the BH/SE uses

Birgir said he's planning to build more Carbons so just wait for those to pop up

what are the advantages of carbon vs kgsshv

it's not made of unobtanium parts and works at higher voltages

one mans unobtanium is another ones hipster swag

Kevin is telling me Cyclotron will be single box only becose of safety reasons, can you explain it to me I am electrostatic noob,I mean arent all electrostatic amps deadly? how much difference there is in amps and watts compared to like KGSSHV or BHSE

You can't get the 1968's for less than 20$ a piece period, so no it's not "hipster swag" there aren't any parts left

These questions should be asked in the stax thread not here, and they already have been answered in either that or the BHSE thread
