People usually have their gear setup on tables or whatever. You go around, try different stuff out, talk to people, etc. It's just a chill little gathering and a nice way to make new friends with like-minded individuals.

well, TF has volunteered to make the magic call to the potential venue site.  That is a big step, thanks!

I have only been to one session.  Basically people bring some of their more portable rigs and lets others enjoy and listen along.
 
Made some new friends who like toys.  What is not to like?
