can you guys recommend some "shielded" iem cables?
In the entry-mid range, the cheapest one I think is the nobunaga HPC coaxial. It sounds neutralish with a hint of bright with 2 braids. I recommend getting a 4 or 6 braids

Other than that going more expensive, I think getting verus lavender 4 braid is awesome. You can check it in their website verus-audio

With the aliexpress anniversary sales going on, what are the top NiceHCK that can currently be bought for < $100, and which do you recommend?
Some I'm considering:
<$100
AceOrpheus
DualDragon
DragonScale

>$20
MeetAlice
FirstTouch
IcyMoon

All those are using nylon jacket which adds unnecessary bulk. Also hides the wire composition design and look.
IMO, its unnecessary as all cables already have clear pvc jacket/covering.

Hi there!

I'm probably going to get the Unique Melody 3DT I bought today or tomorrow, and I was thinking of buying a 4.4 balanced cable (if I'm not mistaken the stock cable comes with a 3.5 jack).

Any suggestions, anything decent? I usually use my Ibasso DX260 (sometimes with the PB5 too).
As the DX260 is not a very warm source, a decent cable that is not very bright... with some warmth.
My concerns are soundstage width, depth, vocal richness and versatility. I am not a bass-head...
I live in China so I have access to brands like Hakugei, Fiftystrings... but I don't know them at all, although they seem quality/price ratio interesting.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

Fiftystrings M.Hawk. Brings a blacker background and greater clarity to every IEM I’ve tried it with, makes notes cleaner, snappier and more defined and textured without adding brightness. It won’t add warmth either but your PB5 will take care of that.

My impressions are here and elsewhere but don’t just take my word for it - there are more opinions in the discovery and budget cables threads as well.

So in your opinions what's the best build quality cables under 100ish dollars? I don't really believe in sound changes so I just want something that looks good, feels good, and I can trust to be reliable.
I really like ivipQ-252 but I got mmxc version

Congrats on the 3DT! Hakugei’s copper or mixed cables (like Amber) add warmth and depth without extra brightness. Fiftystrings is solid too. Both should enhance soundstage and vocals—great picks for your DX260! Enjoy! 😊

Hey Folks, any top recommends for cables off Amazon? I have Amazon funds so figured to just spend it on cables. I've trying to find one for my Fei Wan.

I read some success on the QOA Kinera MIA, I see NiceHCK cables but haven't heard much about these. I saw some cool Japanese reviews liked the Dragonscale 2. That's pretty much where I'm at.

First time posting in this thread. I started reading this thread several weeks ago, starting about mid way (pages). Great information added by @redcarmoose and @dsnuts on cables. I like the way you provide the characteristics of a cable that ultimately helps us understand what may work for our need and/or preference.

I do have a question regarding interconnect cables, from say: DAP to Amp…. In the 2-channel audio world (which is what I’ve spent the majority of my life in), I typically tried to match my interconnects with my speaker cables. That typically gave me what I thought met my preference sound. Do you have any thoughts on this regarding IEM’s?

Based on a friends recommendation I bought the following cable:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008591279403.html

To give you my system(s), I use the following sources: MacBook Pro, running Roon > Denefrips Ares 2 > or A&K SE300 >
My amps are Woo Audio WA11 Topaz and Kaei TAP1-Pro with the PSU2.

My IEM’s are: FAN3, H60, and Project M

With the cable I bought (above), any thoughts on consistency of interconnects or a suggestion of interconnect that might be neutral to allow for the flavor of the IEM cable. Thanks for any feedback, in advance..
